Ginette Mohr
(Actor and Co-creator)
Ginette has been creating and performing for ten years. She has developed numerous physical-theatre pieces – incorporating improvisation, dance, Commedia, Pochinko, puppetry, and Viewpoints work. Most recently she collaborated on a play adaptation of the book ‘Ten Green Bottles’ with Te-Amim Music Theatre and co-created and performed in The Belle of Winnipeg with Keystone Theatre. She has performed with companies such as Neptune Theatre, Theatre New Brunswick, Drayton Entertainment, Theatre Aquarius, Metaphysical Theatre, The Second City, Expect Theatre, The Thistle Project (Dora Nomination), The Classical Theatre Project, Patria Productions, The Quickening Theatre, Frightwig Theatre, The Edmonton Festival Ballet, CNG Productions, Theatre LMNOP (Dora Nomination) and Monkey Toast (Canadian Comedy Award). Her newest solo creation, Fish Face, garnered critical acclaim and won the Cultch Theatre Award at the Vancouver Fringe Festival. Fish Face will perform at The Cultch Theatre in the 2010-2011 season. This winter Ginette will continue to develop Fish Face, while co-creating Calling Claire and The Children’s Museum with her company, The Quickening Theatre. Next spring Ginette will debut at the Stratford Festival in The Winter’s Tale. She holds a B.F.A. in Acting from Simon Fraser University and an M.F.A. in Acting from York University.
